Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

Fares

• In-town rides: a flat $10 fare.
• Rides within 30 miles of city limits: $2.00/mile, $15 minimum.
• Rides beyond 30 miles: $2.50/mile, must be arranged in advance.
• Round trips are double the one-way fare.
• A hold for the estimated fare is placed on your card when you request a ride; the final charge (fare plus any tip) is collected when the ride is completed. If your request goes unaccepted or is cancelled, the hold is released and you are not charged.
• Cancelling after the driver has accepted incurs a $5 cancellation fee.

SMS notifications

After creating an account (we require an account first so the verification code and ride updates go to a number tied to a real, identified rider), you're taken to a phone verification screen. You must check the box below before we send anything — unchecked by default, and the "Send code" button stays disabled until you check it. This is the exact checkbox and label shown on that screen:

By checking it, you consent to receive:

• A one-time verification code to confirm your phone number.
• Ride-status updates: driver assigned, driver en route, driver arrived, and ride completed (including the amount charged).

Example messages:

• "Your DrivePecos verification code is 482913."
• "DrivePecos: Your ride has been accepted! Track it live in the app."
• "DrivePecos: Your ride is complete. $12.00 was charged. Thanks for riding!"

No marketing messages are sent — only messages tied to your own account activity. Message frequency varies with your ride activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not required to use DrivePecos by other means (you may contact us directly to request a ride without SMS updates). Your phone number and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Conduct and cancellations

The driver may decline or cancel a ride at their discretion, including for safety reasons. We aim to serve every request but cannot guarantee availability at all times.
